An act further authorizing the city or municipal civil registrar or the consul general to correct clerical or typographical errors in the day and month in the date of year or sex 
of a person appearing in the civil register without need of judicial orders,
 amending for this purpose Republic 9048



REPUBLIC ACT 9048
An Act authorizing the city or municipal civil registrar or the consul general to correct a clerical  or typographical error in an entry and/or change of first name or nickname in the Civil Registrar without need of Judicial Order, Amending for this Purpose articles 376 and 412 of the Civil Code of the Philippines 
MGA ISSUES SA BIRTH CERTIFICATE

1. Walang Kopya ng Birth Certificate

        1.1. Reconstruction - Kapag ang kopya ng iyong Local Civil Registry ay nabasa, nasira, nasunog.

       1.2. Enrdorsement - Kapag nanguha ka ng record sa NSO pero sabi ng NSO wala silang kopya ng iyong Birth Certificate, endorsement ang tawag. Pupunta ka sa Local Civil Registry at mag-aapply ka ng endorsement of Birth Certificate

       1.3. Late Registration - Kapag naman isinilang ang isang sanggol, at lumampas ang 30 days na palugit at hindi mo pa rin nai-register ang anak mo, that is a Late Registration.

2. Wrong Entries in the Birth Certificate

     Ang pagtatama naman ng mga maling entry sa Birth Certificate ay may dalawang proseso:
       
            2.1. Correction of Entry
Ito yung batas na inamyendahan ng Kongreso para isama na yung pagtatama ng Month and Day of the Date of Birth at ang Sex ng Indibidwal.

Sa Republic Act 9048, hindi na kailangan ng Court Order/ Ruling para itama ang mga Clerical or Typographical Errors.

Dito sa mga Clerical at Typographical Error, hindi na kailangan ng Court Order:
1. Spelling ng pangalan
2. Maling Lugar kung saan ipinanganak
3. Mali yung birth order na nakalagay
4. Mali yung surname ng Nanay or  surname ng Tatay
5. Sex - always go to local civil registry
6. Day and Dateof Birth - any local
7. Kulang yung First Name - (Mario to Marvin Mario)
8. No Name - Correction of Name
9. Kung misppelling lang ng Last Name

Go to Local Civil Registry and File for Petition to Correct Entry

           
            2.2. Court Proceedings/Court Order

1. Year kung kailan ka pinanganak (Ex: August 9, 1981 naging August 9, 1945)
2. Citizenship
3. Age
4. Legitimate and Eliigitimate
5. Apelyido at Middle Name
