The PRESIDENT'S APPOINTEES vs. COMMISSION ON APPOINTMENT

Ang Commission on Appointment ay isang sangay na nagsisilbing Human Resource Arm of the Government to interview, to investigate and to conduct the preliminary process of appointment before a person or any appointee of the President can legitimately enter or work in a government.

So far, there are three appointees of President Rodrigo Roa Duterte that are denied or rejected by the Commission for an unclear reasons or basis.

Let us just discuss the appointment of Perfecto Yasay as Foreign Affairs Secretary. After few deliberations, his appointment was rejected by the commission because according to according to them, nagsinungaling si Mr. Yasay sa hindi nito pagdeklara ng kanyang citizenship. He lied to the commission about his Amaerican Citizenship.

Sa mga abogado, sana may magbigay ng kanilang nalalaman sa ganitong sitwasyon, maaaring he is an American Citizen, but of course, for every law, there's always an exceptions. Sa Constitutions, sa Person and Family Relations or sa kahit sa ibang batas, meron kayang exception sa requirements na ito ng COA.

Another appointee is Ms. Regina Paz Lopez as the Secretary of Environment and Natural Resources. She became famous when she crack down the destructive mining. 

Alam naman natin na ang Mining Industry can be one of the most dangerous industry na magpapahamak sa isang lugar o maging ng buong kapuluan, but we also know na malaki rin naman ang revenue na nakukuha sa industriyang ito. 

Wala bang kinalaman ang mga allies ng gobyerno sa pag-reject ng kanyang appoitnment? Hindi kaya madami ang mga nasa gobyerno ang kumikita sa Mining kung kaya't na decline ang kanyang appoitnment.

Third is si DSWD Secretary Judy Taguiwalo. Ang pagkaka-assigned kay Judy is one of  the perfect move of the government to appoint a qualified to handle the department. 

Isang malaking tanong sa aking isipan, mayroon bang DILAWAN na Miyembro ng Commission on Appoinment?
