When he came back in 1997 to Apple, Inc. He focused on creating  TRAFFIC for IPHONE products. When he was able to estimate the number of traffic and understand the segments of the consumer, he then focused on analyzing the LIFETIME VALUE OF THE CUSTOMERS.
